Welcome to the Nyquist Webpage in English.

We will try and keep this updated more often to show you our life here in Bolivia.

Right now Tim is teaching  the Creation Science course a couple times a week at the christian college here in town.  So far it has had a good response from the students.  As usual he begins with a theological question, on whose authority do you base your thinking?  Is it God and His Word or man and his word?  From this a person will choose his philosophy which produces his science and then he will have to live with the social consequences.

This morning we had a lady come into the office who  is on a journey from Uruguay to Mexico looking for the meaning of life.  Seems the Lord directed her to the CDC office.  For the next hour or so Tim talked with her, sharing the same message that he has been doing with his students.  Our hope is that this message will reach her mind and heart.

Because of taking music classes Jonathan is becoming very proficient in playing the guitar.  He now seranades us with both his bass and the guitar.  He will be eighteen at the end of March and is looking forward to getting his driver's license.  This coming May will mark the end of his high schooling, yes graduation is just around the corner.  His plans for now are to attend a community college in the Sacramento area.  In school he is taking consumer math and survival skills, both which seem to be what he needs.  He also tutors a student and plays in the chapel band.  He is as tall and as skinny as his dad.  He now wears glasses and says he can see much better.  His quick laugh is a joy to us all.

Ruth is trying to keep up with her brother in playing the guitar but she also is learning piano, pretty much by self teaching books.  She is as tall as her mom and very pretty with her chocolate colored hair and big brown eyes.  She turned fourteen last month and loves doing things with her friends such as sleepovers and going to the movies.

I am excited about what we see the Lord doing in His ministry and in our lives.  Each day brings something new and we never know who is going to walk in the door of the office next.   We knew that there were changes coming up as we have to head back to the states for a couple of months but we never imagined what we now see happening in the ministry.  We will keep you updated as they unfold.

Our last few years here in Santa Cruz Bolivia has been relatively different.  We have visited an area covered with fossilized dinosaur tracks and made a few molds of them.  We are seeing the country move from a democracy to a socialists society using democractic means.  The ministry has been expanding and contracting but the Lord has always been leading.  We have the priviledge of working with the National Park Service and also with a professor at the local state university to teach the Creation Science text.  Along with the new work of teaching at the christian college.

That's it for now, check back later for photos.
